What does your Medicaid plan cover?

Pregnant people who have Medicaid health insurance are eligible for doula care which includes: 

• • Families can receive up to 12 visits free during pregnancy and up to one year after delivery. 

  • Support during labor and birth, offering continuous care, comfort and information to make the best decisions for your family.

 If you are currently covered under Straight, McLaren or Priority Health Medicaid, we can arrange your prenatal visits, childbirth education, and labor support at no cost to you.

This option exists to ensure that families who need additional emotional or physical support can access safe, affirming, continuous care throughout pregnancy and birth.
